Dear Justice,

I've heard and seen myself
how too often you are blind
to the plight of the scorned
and never gazing in the direction
of those who are rooted in what's right
but there have been moments
in time as I recall that even you
blinked once or twice
and took notice of right and
brought it to light
resulting in the occasional
second wind of my faith in
the system over which you preside
believing in the vision and it's mission
too much to give up on you all together
even when it seems you'll never
see straight and look this way
I can't help but to keep acting as if
you are listening to what I have to say
and today

I need you to go to Georgia
there's some folks down there
that's been looking for ya
waiting on you to arrive
the wait being for some the drive
to keep shouting into the darkness
telling the world that hope survived
peace is laying dormant
healing needed before growth
will come alive
and it can be no one
no one but you
so please show your hand
there's no time like the present
but it's definitely been too long so far
