surely pleasing Him
and being a vessel
of blessings for others
to know some joy
and prosperity
in this life
through you
and I don't know why
you don't want to
take a minute
just a moment to
celebrate life
when death is too much
and too many
but if you won't
than pardon me
while I give thanks
for your existence
not just in my life
but in this world
that you give your all to
in your work
too often
not enough left
for yourself
and still you don't
complain
just digging deeper
to find more
to offer them
and while your busy
doing more of just that
excuse me while I
thank Him
that you saw
another birthday again
